and cover the fl ame with for example

■ Never store objects on the cooking
area.
■ The cooking process must be super-
vised. A short term cooking process
has to be supervised continuously.
■ Only protective hob grilles or hob cov-
ers made by the hob manufactur-
er, approved protective hob grilles or
covers listed in the user manual, or
pre-installed protective hob grilles or
hob covers may be used. The use of
unsuitable protective hob grilles or
hob covers may lead to accidents.
■ Always switch the hob off completely
after cooking.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper use may damage the appli-
ance or cooking utensils.
■ The cooking zones may become dam-
aged if they are operated without
cookware or with empty cookware.
■ Although fi re-proof glass dishes are
also suitable for the solid plates, they
are poor heat conductors. Larger
glass containers may also suffer ther-
mal stress, leading to breakage.
■ Wipe the solid plate and the base of
the pots prior to use to wipe away
any dirt which may cause scratches.
■ Do not use any aluminium foil or
plastic containers to cook on the solid
plates as they can melt.
■ Metallic objects (such as knives, forks,
spoons and lids) should not be placed
on the solid plates since they can get
hot.
Safety notices
■ Use the hob as a work surface or
somewhere to place objects only
once the solid plates have completely
cooled off. Otherwise, materials sen-
sitive to heat, such as plastic dishes,
could become damaged.
