in this mode the battery charger operates with
reduced power. To select this function, press and
hold the "VOLT" button for 3 seconds until the
following symbol is displayed (fi g. A.8).

2.2 CHARGING PROCESS

2.2.1 PULSE-TRONIC CHARGE

The PULSE-TRONIC charge process, controlled by
a microprocessor, allows automatic charging and
maintenance of the optimal level of 6/12/24V WET,
GEL, PbCa, AGM: SPIRAL, MF type batteries. This
applies to both the LCD DISPLAY models and the
KEY-PAD models.

It consists of 8 PHASES, individually optimised for
each battery type:

1. CHECK. Checks the battery condition and
integrity, and checks the correspondence of the
battery voltage nominal value with the set value.
2. DESULFATION.
sulphated or very discharged batteries; the
impulses remove the sulfation of batteries
that are not completely sulphated. The charge
process can be continued when the battery
answers positively to the impulses.
3. ANALYSE. Allows checking of battery integrity.
The charge current is lower than the set current.
4. MAIN CHARGE. Recharges at the set current
or automatically at the recommended maximum
current until an 80% charge is reached.
5. FINE CHARGE. Recharges up to 100% of the
battery capacity using decreasing current.
6. VERIFY. Control cycle of charge maintenance.
7. FLOAT. Keeps the charge at a constant voltage.
8. PULSE TRONIC. Optimal maintenance with
impulse charge.
The PULSE-TRONIC technology therefore offers
the following advantages:
- applicable to all types of batteries;
- allows complete control over the charge current;
- allows protection of the electronic components
on-board vehicles when we charge the battery
without disconnecting it from the vehicle;
- guarantees less overheating of batteries during
the charge phase;
- guarantees longer useful life to batteries.
It is possible to charge batteries in series and in
parallel.
