10.4 Replacing emitters

The expected service life for the product is 9000 operating hours.
►Never touch the UV emitters with your bare
hands.

►Always use cloth gloves!
►Fingerprints will burn into the glass and may
lead to failure. Use a cloth dipped in alcohol to
remove all fingerprints before installation.
►The minimum lighting time of the emitter is
10 minutes. A shorter switch-on time will lead
to malfunctions (the emitter no longer ignites).

● Switch off the main switch and close the stop valves.
● Remove the product cover (see chapter 10.1).
● Remove the two setscrews and the protective cap (12).
● Disconnect the emitter plug (13) and remove the UV emitter (18).
● Insert the new UV emitter (18) into the emitter casing tube (17) until
the emitter plug (13) can be connected.
● Connect the plug (13), making sure it is firmly in place.

● Insert the UV emitter (18) all the way.
● Attach the protective cap (12) and secure it with 2 setscrews.

►Only start up the unit when the grey protective
cap is in place (12).
►Never look into the radiation chamber without
wearing eye protection.
►Wear personal protective equipment (protective
goggles).
►Protect your skin from UV rays (gloves, full-
length clothing, face protection).
● Open the stop valves.
● Switch on the main switch.
● Bleed the UV radiation chamber (1) using the bleed screw (21).
● Attach the product cover and secure it using four screws.
● Open the shut-off devices.
The product is ready for use again.
