CONVERTING THE GAS GROUP
2.2 Replacing the gas fi tting (only for
group 2 heating devices, see table 1.2)

Some products have fittings without a gas
pressure regulator.

Note
Replacement of the gas fi tting requires a Torx
T20. Direct frontal removal of the gas fi tting
requires an Allen key or a Torx T20 socket
wrench. In the absence of an Allen key or simi-
lar, the entire fan unit with the gas fi tting must be
removed before the gas fi tting can be dismant-
led from the bracket.
Group 2 heating devices for operation with natural gas are
fi tted with gas fi ttings without a gas pressure regulator (4,
fi g. 2.3). A gas fi tting with a gas pressure regulator must be
installed for operation with liquid gas.

► Remove the three plugs from the gas fi tting (2, fi g. 2.3).
► Remove the plugs on the sensor on the venturi (1) by
depressing the detent.
► Unscrew both union nuts (6) and (5) on the gas fi tting.
Counter on the opposite side of the gas fi tting with a fl at
spanner whilst unscrewing (5) / (6).
► Either remove the ventilator unit with gas fi tting or
unscrew the fastening bolt of the gas fi tting from the
bracket using an Allen key or a Torx T20 socket wrench
(3).

Note
The screw on the gas fi tting bracket secures the
gas fi tting against turning and must be re-fi tted
after replacing the gas fi tting.
► Remove the gas fi tting from its bracket.
► Reinstall the new gas fi tting in the reverse order. Use the
new seals in the process.
► Counter on the opposite side of the gas fi tting with a fl at
spanner whilst tightening the union nut on the gas fi tting
(5) / (6).
