2. EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important notes in these operating instructions that must be
observed strictly.
The "arrow" symbol can be found when there are special advice and notes regarding the operation.

3. INTENDED USE

The products are intended to charge lead-based rechargeable batteries of the types lead-gel, lead-acid or lead-
fleece (also AGM and calcium) with a rated voltage of 12 V and a capacity of 1.2 Ah to max. 120 Ah fully automati-
cally. There are eight different charging programmes available for this: The connection to the rechargeable battery
takes place via a charging cable with alligator clamps or via a charging cable with cable ring eyelets and integrated
protection.
The charges must only be operated on common household alternating voltages of 220 to 240 V/AC, 50/60 Hz. The
chargers are secured against overload, polarity reversal and short circuit.
Both devices are operated identically. In addition to the charging function, the VOLTCRAFT charger 12 V 5A ICE-
MAN 5R (order no.: 1367689) can be controlled with a tablet or Smartphone via the Bluetooth connection and the
charge status can be displayed.
For reasons of safety and approval (CE), the products must not be converted and/or changed by you. No batteries
(e.g. zinc-coal, alkaline, etc.) and no other rechargeable battery types (e.g. NiMH, Lilon, etc.) must be connected
and charged.
Using the products for any other purposes than those described above may damage the product. Improper use also
may cause dangers such as short circuit, fire, explosion, electric shock, etc. Read the operating instructions precise-
ly and keep them. Only pass the product on to any third parties together with the operating instructions.
