10. BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

The VOLTCRAFT charger 12 V 5 A ICEMAN 5R can be controlled with a tablet or Smartphone via the Bluetooth
connection and the charge status displayed. Apps are available for this for the operating systems "iOS" (Apple
products) and Android. For more information on the Apps, see www.conrad.de in the download area of the item.
Under best conditions, the Bluetooth radio connection has a range of up to 30 metres. The range that can be
achieved is influenced negatively by a detrimental site and/or other radio connection.
To control your charger by Bluetooth
• Install the App matching the operating system installed on your tablet or Smartphone (iOS or Android) on your
mobile device.
• Switch on the Bluetooth function on your mobile device.
• Open the App, select the desired language and confirm this with "OK".
• Activate the search function to identify the charger.
• Select charger "ICEMAN 5.0 BLE". After you have chosen the charger, the colour of the "Power display" (see fig-
ure 3, item 1) switches from yellow to blue. The Bluetooth connection between the charger and the mobile device
is now established.
• At first commissioning, you will be asked for your password. Assign an alphanumeric code of up to ten digits for
your charger. If you have forgotten the code of your charger, push the mode button at your charger for approx. six
seconds. The old code is then reset and you are asked to enter a new code.
• Choose between a small rechargeable battery (snow mobile symbol; 1.2 Ah to 14 Ah) and a large rechargeable
battery (car symbol; 14 Ah to 120 Ah).
If a "small rechargeable battery" is chosen, you can use the charge programmes mode 1 to 4, which you can
activate by selecting the corresponding symbols at the mobile device. For more information on this, see chapter 6.

If a "large rechargeable battery" is chosen, you can use the charge programmes mode 5 to 8, which you can
activate by selecting the corresponding symbols at the mobile device. For more information on this, see chapter 6.

• Start charging by selecting the on/off icon. After staring charging, you are informed of the respective status of the
charging phase, the rechargeable battery voltage and the charging current in the upper part of the display.
Charging can be terminated at any time by selecting the on/off icon. Use the icon "Return" to return to the selec-
tion. Charging that has already started is interrupted only if a different rechargeable battery type is selected.
Use the arrow in the upper left to return to the home page of the App. If charging has already started, it is contin-
ued in the constellation started by Bluetooth
The display of the App is optimised for portrait display. If automatic display content turning is present or
activated in your mobile device, the App will deactivate it.
