• Never push any objects into any openings of the housing. There is a danger to life from electric shock!
• If the product is taken from a cold into a warm room, condensation may develop. Allow the product to
reach room temperature before connecting it to mains voltage. This may take several hours. Otherwise,
the product may be destroyed and there is a danger of a fatal electric shock!
• Never touch the product with wet or moist hands. Otherwise, there is a risk of potentially fatal electric
shock!
• The charger and charging cables must not be crushed or damaged by sharp edges.
• Do not use the product when it is damaged. There is danger to life from electric shock!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product is visibly damaged
- the product does not work or not work properly (smoke or burnt smell, audible crackling, discoloura-
tion of the product or adjacent surfaces)
- the product has been stored under unfavourable conditions
- it has been subjected to severe stress during transport
• If the product is damaged, do not touch it. Danger to life from electric shock! First deactivate all sides of
the mains socket to which the product is connected (e.g. switch off the respective fuse or turn out the
fuse. Then deactivate the FI protection switch). Then unplug the charger from the mains socket. Do not
use the product anymore, but take it to a specialised workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally
friendly manner.
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Also observe the safety notes and operating instructions of the rechargeable batteries to which the
product is connected.
• Always observe the charging provisions of the respective battery producer when charging batteries.
• In case of improper handling (wrong battery type, wrong voltage range or wrong polarity and concurrent
failure of the protective devices of the charger) may cause the rechargeable battery to over-charge or
destroy it. In the worst case, the battery may explode and cause considerable damage.
• Keep transmitter systems (radio phones, transmitter systems for model construction, etc.) away from
the charger because the ingressing transmitter radiation may cause interference of the charge opera-
tion or destruction of the charger and therefore also the rechargeable battery.
• Do not leave chargers and connected batteries in operation unattended.
