5 Working with the truck
5.5.1 Installing the tow bar
WARNING Energy release
The spring (9) can slip out of position and cause damage or injury if the
transport pin (8) is removed before a tow bar (1) is installed.
Always install a tow bar (1) before removing the transport pin (8).

1. Fit the tow bar (1) into the tow bar mounting bracket (2).
2. Fit axle (3) into mounting bracket (2).
3. Ensure that the chamfered holes in axle (3) are facing downwards.
4. Lock the shaft (3) using a spring pin (4).
5. Push a valve bar (5) through the hole in the shaft (3).
6. Hook the valve bar (5) into the groove in the lowering pedal (6).
7. Adjust the raising and lowering function and the neutral position using
the nut (7). .
8. Press down the tow bar and remove transport pin (8) which is fitted
when delivered.

5.5.2 Installing the hydraulic unit in the chassis

WARNING Energy release
When fitting the retaining ring (16), there is a risk that the retaining ring may
come loose from the retaining ring shaft and cause injury.
Take care when fitting the retaining ring.

WARNING Energy release
When knocking in the spring pins (4, 15), they can rebound and cause injury.
Take care when fitting the spring pins.
►
1. Position the upper part of hydraulic unit (10) in the top cap (11).
2. Place the hydraulic unit pressure plate (12) between the touch links (13).
3. Install the arm bolt (14) and lock with a spring pin (15).
4. Lubricate the arm bolt (14). Fit a circlip (16) into the groove at the top of
cover (11).
