DEVICE INFORMATION
This section shows information relating to the device (the fields cannot be edited)

DEVICE DESCRIPTION

• Description: a clear description corresponding to the Touch module can be entered in this field (e.g.: main
entrance 1, etc.)
ADDRESSING
VIP ADDRESS
• ViP address: assign the relevant ViP address to the Touch module (not required in Simplebus
installations).
IP ADDRESS
• IP address mode: select the desired addressing mode.
◊ Auto IP: an IP address will be assigned to the devices automatically (Default).
◊ DHCP: an IP address will automatically be assigned to the devices if the system is connected to a
server with the DHCP function active.
◊ Static: an IP address should be assigned to the devices manually.
• IP netmask: enter an IP netmask which is compatible with your system (Default: 255.255.0.0).
• Use default gateway: enable the default gateway to provide an Internet connection for the device. An
Internet connection is not required for the device to work, however is it required for time syncing via NTP
and for receiving automatic firmware updates (Default: not selected).
• Gateway address: IP address of the default gateway (Default: 0.0.0.0).
• Primary DNS: primary DNS server (Default: 8.8.8.8).
• Secondary DNS: secondary DNS server (Default: 8.8.4.4).
SETTINGS
GENERAL
• Show only names: if the option is enabled (default), the contents of the "Description" field in the "Name
directory" menu will be shown, if completed
If the option is disabled, the contents of the "Call address" field in the "Name directory" menu will be
shown, regardless of whether the "Description" field contains any information
• Search results sorting method
◊ Sort by name (default): the results of searching for names in the directory will be displayed in
alphabetic order
◊ Sort by call address: the results of searching for names in the directory will be displayed in ascending
call address order
◊ Dynamic sort: if the first character entered in the user search field is a letter, the names in the directory
will be displayed in alphabetical order; if the first character entered in the search field is a number, the
search results for the names in the directory will be displayed in ascending call address order
