4 Mounting Instruction
The tightening control unit is to be inserted
into the slots provided in the system boxes or
in the BT300 card rack.

Please take care that the tightening control
system is completely inserted.
The front knurled bolts must be tightened.
Please ensure that the front panel fits tightly
to the BT 300 or system box by tightening the
knurled thumbscrews.

Exchanging the battery

A battery-buffered RAM is built into the tigh-
tening control unit which can be used to save
tightening results. When the system is off the
mains, storage takes place with the built-in
battery.
If no storage function is needed, the battery
is not necessary. The jumpers must be swit-
ched from "Batt-active" to "No-Batt" and the
battery must be removed.
If the battery has run down, an error message
is generated.

Before the tightening
control unit is inserted,
the system boxes or
BT300 card rack must
be switched to neutral
and a discharging time
of ≥ 3 minutes must be
taken into account.
To exchange the battery, please proceed as
follows:
– Carry out data storage (when the battery
is exchanged, all data stored in the memo-
ry module are lost).
– Remove the used up battery. Slightly lift
the holder with a screwdriver and push out
the battery. Remove the battery with your
fingers.
Under no circumstances should
conductive tools (e. g. tweezers)
be used to remove batteries - short
circuit danger.
– Insert a new battery: the positive terminal
must face the holder (upward). For inser-
ting, slightly lift the holder and push in the
battery.
The control unit's function can only
be guaranteed, if the batteries are
inserted correctly.
