NOTICE! Damage hazard
Despite its qualities stainless steel can alter, sustain damage or corrode. To avoid this,
observe the following instructions.
• Do not use cleaning agents containing chlorine or chlorine compounds (hydrogen chloride/hydrochloric acid,
chlorine base, decalcifier etc.).
• Do not use cleaning agents for silver objects.
• Do not use abrasive sponges, brushes or polishing disks made from other metals or alloys (e. g. steel, alumin-
ium, brass etc.). Also do not use tools which have previously been used to process or clean other metals or
alloys. Both can scratch the surface, contaminate the stainless steel and cause unattractive stains. Abrasive
sponges and brushes made from stainless steel can be used, if they do not leave scratches.
• Do not leave metal objects (cans, articles of daily use etc.) or caustic food residues (cola, lemon/citric acid,
tomatoes, wine, salt etc.) for a longer period on stainless steel surfaces as this would cause a risk for contact cor-
rosion for the surface.
• Cover stainless steel surfaces during activities in the vicinity which can cause shavings or dirt.

Care and cleaning

Many cleaning agents (e. g. acetone, ethyl alcohol) can be flammable, corrosive and
dangerous.
Always read the information on the packaging (especially the safety instructions)
using them.
• Clean the stainless steel surface regularly and as soon as it is dirty.
• Generally it is sufficient to clean the stainless steel surface with warm water and regular dishwashing detergent,
afterwards rinse it with plenty of water and dry it with a soft cloth.
Note: It is essential to dry the surface as water can leave residues (limescale).
• Stainless steel surfaces are in no way affected by frequent cleaning and can, therefore, be cleaned any number
of times without any problems.
