Connecting the bus phase monitor

Application area

The ONLITE central eBox BPD bus phase monitor can monitor one or all three phases. The status is evaluated via
the system bus. It reports when a phase failure, under-voltage or interruption of the neutral conductor occurs. Bus
phase monitors are connected to the system bus. If a bus phase monitor reports a phase failure, the emergency
luminaires assigned to the bus phase monitor switch on.
Note
i
The luminaires on the bus phase monitor are assigned via the app.
More information on the nBox app can be found here: nBox Commissioning instructions
The ONLITE central eBox BPD bus phase monitor has two additional alarm contacts (AL1, AL2) that can
optionally be used. Circuit breakers with auxiliary contacts or phase monitors from third-party manufacturers can
be connected to the alarm contacts. The alarm contacts are bridged on delivery.
Note
i
When connecting the alarm contacts, the following technical data must be observed:
Loop resistance
Conductor cross-section
Voltage
Current

System limits

No more than 9 bus phase monitors can be used for each nBox system.
Attention
When mounting and installing the device the voltage supply must be disconnected and the battery
fuse removed, including the supply to the phases to be monitored.
