Inserting the cables

The cables can be routed either through the cut-out in the back of the housing or through the membrane cable
glands on the top of the housing.

Cables fed in through the cut-out in the back of the housing are routed without strain relief. For this
reason, the cables must be laid in such a way that no strain can be exerted on them outside of the
housing.

Inserting the cables from above through the membrane cable glands
There 16 membrane cable glands with strain relief installed on the top of the nBox S.

The membrane cable glands with strain relief can only be used once. It is not possible to pull out a
cable inserted through a gland without damaging the cable gland.

1. Perforate the cable gland, using the tip of a small screwdriver,
for example.
2. Push the cable through.

It is a good idea to strip the cables before inserting
them (approx. 1 cm under the cable gland).
The exposed cores should be a little longer than
needed in order to reach the terminals, and then only
shortened to the actual length needed once they have
been inserted.
