Connecting the signalling contacts

There are 4 potential-free contacts in the nBox, which are used to transmit information about the status of the
nBox system. The defined statuses (ready, locked, battery fault, function test running) can be assigned to the
signalling contacts as desired via the app. If a change assigned to one of these signalling contacts occurs, the
signalling contact in question is opened or closed.
Using the signalling contacts is optional.
Note
i
When connecting the signalling contacts, the following technical data must be observed:
Loop resistance
Conductor cross-section
Switching voltage
Switching current

Max. 100 Ω
0.75 – 2.5 mm²
Max. 24 V DC
Max. 0.5 A
Note
i
The terminal block with the contacts for the signalling
contacts is located in the nBox above the nBox MBC
module.
1. Guide the cable through the membrane gland with strain relief.
Note
i
It is a good idea to strip the cables before inserting
them (approx. 1 cm under the cable gland).
The exposed cores should be a little longer than
needed in order to reach the terminals, and then only
shortened to the actual length needed once they have
been inserted.
2. Connect the conductor to the terminals as shown in the
"Terminal assignment" table.
