WARNING – Danger from
Rechargeable Batteries
■
Do not take apart the rechargeable
battery. Protect the device from:
fi re, high temperatures of over 50°C,
direct sunlight and sub-zero temper-
atures. The battery could ignite or
explode.
■
Do not store the device with a built-in
battery in a vehicle where it might be
exposed to extreme temperatures.
■
Make sure that the device cannot
get wet. The battery could ignite or
explode.
■
If the battery leaks, do not allow your
skin, eyes and mucous membranes
to come into contact with the battery
acid. There is a danger of burns. If
you do touch battery acid, rinse the
affected areas with abundant clear
water straight away and seek medical
assistance immediately.
■
Do not use the device if the battery
has leaked.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■
Do not charge up the device in the
vicinity of highly fl ammable materials
(curtains, textiles, etc.).
■
Do not cover the device during oper-
ation or charging in order to prevent it
from catching fi re.
■
Do not insert anything into the ven-
tilation openings of the device and
make sure that they do not become
clogged.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to
Material and Property
■
The device should only be used if it
has been fully and correctly assem-
bled! The dust container and the fi lter
must be inserted and must not be
damaged! If dirt were to get inside the
device, this could damage the motor.

When you pull the charger out of the
plug socket, always pull on the charg-
er and never the cable! Never pull or
carry the device by the cable.
■
Make sure that the connecting cable
is not squashed, bent or laid over
sharp edges and does not come into
contact with hot surfaces. Do not
wrap the cable around the device or
the charger.
■
Protect the device from heat, naked
fl ames, extreme temperatures, persis-
tent moisture and impacts.
■
Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
■
Do not try to lubricate the wheels of
the device with lubricant or oil. This
would cause dust and dirt to increas-
ingly adhere to the rollers.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

• The robot vacuum cleaner sucks up
loose dirt through the suction open-
ing (13). For more effi cient cleaning, it
has d a fl oor cloth for dusting.
• The sensors (12) on the bottom rec-
ognise steps or other depressions so
that the device cannot fall down.
• This robot vacuum cleaner has two
stopper (picture C) on the front of
the bumpers. These prevent that the
robot vacuum cleaner can get under
cabinets or shelfs, under which he
could get stuck.

BEFORE INITIAL USE

Before the device can be used,
• insert the battery (see the "Inserting /
Removing the Battery" chapter).
• charge up the battery (see the
"Charging Up the Battery" chapter).
