Making the cut (Fig. 3/4)
1.
Clamp the workpiece firmly in the vice.
2.
Switch the machine on and wait until the motor has
reached its maximum speed.
3.
Press the machine head (9) down using the han-
dle (13) until the cutting wheel lightly touches the
workpiece. Move the cutting wheel (16) evenly
through the material to be cut.
Attention! The cutting wheel must not vibrate or
bounce as this would reduce the quality of the cut or
even break the cutting wheel.
During cutting, the handle (13) must be pressed down
firmly and steadily.
Also, the cutting speed must not be reduced at the end
of the cutting process as this prevents the workpiece
from overheating and avoids an increase in burr for-
mation.
Note: The number of cuts per cutting wheel and their
quality can vary considerably due to the cutting times.
Quick cuts can lead to faster wearing of the cutting
wheel but they also serve to reduce discolouration and
burr formation.
Quick clamp lever (Fig. 4)
The machine is equipped with a quick clamp lever (5).
1.
Set the lever (5) upwards, push the clamping grip
(6) forwards to the workpiece, press the quick
clamp lever (5) downwards, then clamp the work-
piece firmly with the clamping grip (6).
Attention!
Before cutting, always check that the workpiece is
properly clamped.
Support longer workpieces with a roller trestle or sim-
ilar.
When you have finished working, set the machine head
to the bottom position and pull out the mains plug.
Setting the depth stop
The downward movement of the machine can be ad-
justed with the depth stop (15).
1.
Loosen the counternut with the ring spanner (14).
2.
Turn the screw anti-clockwise to increase the cut-
ting depth.
3.
Re-tighten the counternut.
4.
Loosen the counternut to suit the desired distance
and turn the screw clockwise to reduce the cutting
depth.
5.
Re-tighten the counternut.

11. Storage/transport

Store the device and its accessories out of the reach of
children in a dark and dry place above freezing temper-
ature. The optimum storage temperature lies between
5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in the original pack-
aging.
Proceed particularly carefully when storing cut-
ting wheels:
• Clean and dry well. ATTENTION: DO NOT clean
synthetic resin cutting wheels with water or other
liquids!
• Always store flat.
• Moisture, frost, direct sunlight, high temperatures
and fluctuations in temperature must be avoided
otherwise there is a risk of breakage and splinters!
• The minimum service life must be observed before
reusing synthetic resin cutting wheels (embossing
on the supporting ring - quarter/year). If the min-
imum service life is exceeded, the cutting wheel
must NOT be used.
• Always check new or stored cutting wheels
for damage before use and test at the specified
maximum speed for at least 60 seconds before the
first cutting process, while no part of the body or a
person may be in the extended pivot range of the
cutting wheel.
Transport (Fig. 1/7)
Transport lock:
The locking knob (8) makes the handling easier when
transporting to different places.
Attention! Pull out the mains plug
Use the transport handle (10) to transport the machine.
Device lock (transport lock)
To transport the device, put the machine head down
and press the locking button (8).
Unlocking the machine (working position)
Move the machine head (9) down to release the trans-
port lock. Pull the locking button (8) out and guide the
machine head slowly up.
