7.4.3 REPLACING THE AUTOTRANSFORMER OR THE CAPACITOR

To replace the autotransformer of the electric motor, repeat the same procedure as for the
modification of the speeds illustrated in paragraph 7.4.2 until point 4.

Then loosen the fixing screws of the autotransformer, disconnect the cables and replace the
component with a new one, having the same technical features, in order to avoid alterations
on the performance of the fan coil.

To replace the capacitor remove the frontal panel (s. Par. 7.4.1 point 3). Disconnect the ca-
ble of the capacitor and remove it from its spring support. Mount back and connect a new
capacitor having the same technical features by following the opposite sequence.

7.4.4 REPLACING THE COMPLETE FAN DECK

If necessary, it is possible to replace the complete fan deck as follows:

be sure that the unit has been disconnected from the power supply;
2.
for the models with casing (YSF, YSW), operate as indicated in paragraph 6.3;

for the models YSF-YSIH-YSIV remove the filter fixing plate;

remove the filter (Fig. 6-1);
5.
remove the inner closing panel by loosening the screws that fix it both in front and
sideways (three on the right side and three on the left side) (Fig. 6-2);

remove the power supply cable and be careful not to damage it while removing the fan
deck; it is necessary to have access to the sides of the inner frame: loosen the screws
that fix the basement of the fan deck to the inner frame (Fig. 6-3);

rotate slightly the fan deck and then pull it out;

after replacing the complete fan deck, reassemble carefully all parts proceeding as
described above.

All YORK fan coils are provided with dynamically balanced fan decks, in
order to reduce the noise at minimum levels. When replacing the motor,
the fan deck could be unbalanced, therefore YORK suggest to stop the op-
eration at point 6 and to ask for a new complete fan deck.
