Warnings indicate information relevant to safety.
Within instructions, you will find warnings in front of a step which
contains a hazard to persons or objects.
Safety instructions consist of
• the warning symbol (pictogram)
• a signal word to indicate the level of hazard
• information about the hazard and
• instructions on how to avoid the hazard.
There are three levels of warning depending on the degree of
hazard.
Indicates an unusually large hazardous situation. If you do not follow this
instruction, severe irreversible injuries or death will result.
Indicates an unusually large hazardous situation. If you do not follow this
instruction, severe irreversible or fatal injuries may result.
Indicates a hazardous situation. If you do not follow this instruction, mild or
moderate injuries may result.
Indicates material hazards. If you do not follow this instruction, material
damage may result.
Read these instructions for use through carefully. They are an
integral part of the portable system and must be available at all
times. You should also follow the instructions for use for the
mounted devices. Use the portable system only for its intended use
(see "1.1 Intended use", page23). For your own safety and the
safety of your patients and in accordance with the requirements of
Directive 93/42/EEC, follow the safety instructions below.
