SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Note: The device is only suitable for outdoor use.
Before installing and using the unit, read the entire instruction manual
carefully and keep it for future use.
• The unit must only be used outdoors or in a well-ventilated area and must
not be installed or used indoors.
• Only replace gas cylinders in well-ventilated areas and at a safe distance
from ignition sources.
• Gas cylinders must be stored outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
• This appliance may only be stored indoors if it has been disconnected from
the gas cylinder and the cylinder has been removed from the appliance.
• Do not move this appliance when it is in use or immediately after it has
been switched off and has not yet cooled down.
• Never attempt to modify the unit in any way. Do not paint the radiation
screen, the control panel or the reflector.
• Do not block the ventilation openings in the gas cylinder housing.
• Installation of the appliance and storage of the gas cylinder must be
carried out in compliance with local gas regulations.
• Close the gas cylinder valve or the gas pressure regulator before moving
the appliance to another location.
• Only use the type of gas specified by the manufacturer.
• Repairs should only be carried out by a person qualified to do so.
• In strong winds, measures must be taken to prevent the unit from tipping
over.
• Make sure that the gas pressure regulator seal is properly seated and can
perform its function.
• After using the appliance, turn off the gas cylinder valve or the gas
pressure regulator valve.
• Do not use the unit until you have carried out a leak test on all
connections.
• If there is a gas leak, do not use the appliance. If the gas leak occurs while
the appliance is switched on, turn off the gas supply immediately. The unit
must be checked for leaks and these must be repaired before it can be
used again.
• Check the pipes or flexible hose at least once a month and every time the
gas bottle is changed.
• The lines and the flexible hose must be replaced at the prescribed
intervals, but at least once a year.
• If the hose assembly is badly worn or damaged, it must be replaced with a
hose assembly recommended by the manufacturer before the appliance
can be put into operation.
