Clamp the wheel on the balancer.
Readjust the wheel such that the valve is exactly
perpendicular to and above the main shaft.
Enter the valve position by pressing menu key F1.
The OPTIMISATION "OP.5" screen (Fig. 5-40) is displayed.

START is signalled on the screen.
Press the START key.
A measuring run is performed.
The OPTIMISATION "OP.6" screen (Fig. 5-41) is displayed.

From this screen weight minimisation is carried out in the
same way as optimisation.
Rotate the wheel into marking position following the
arrows.
Provide a single mark on the tyre outer side exactly
perpendicular to and above the main shaft.
Confi rm by pressing menu key F1
The OPTIMISATION "OP.7" screen (Fig. 5-43) is displayed.

If H 1

is read out further optimisation is not
recommended. In this case the measured data does not
exceed the limit for recommendation of the optimisation
program. However, it is possible to continue optimisation so
as to improve wheel running conditions even below the limit
value (critical vehicle).
To continue optimisation:
Continue as shown on screen OPTIMISATION "OP.7"
(Fig. 5-43).
To abort optimisation:
Press the STOP key to return to the balancing program
and balance the wheel according to the readings.

Serrer la roue.
Tourner la valve exactement perpendiculairement au-
dessus de l'arbre principal.
Entrer la position de la valve à l'aide de la touche F1.
L'image OPTIMISATION "OP.5" (Fig. 5-40) est alors affi chée.

START est alors affi ché sur l'image.
Appuyer sur la touche START.
La lancée de mesure est alors effectuée.
L'image OPTIMISATION "OP.6" (Fig. 5-41) est alors affi chée.
5.10.5 Poursuivre la minimisation des
masses et l'optimisation de stabilité de
marche

A partir d'ici, la minimisation des masses est effectuée
exactement comme l'optimisation de stabilité de marche.
Tourner la roue en position de marquage (fl èches de
direction).
Placer un repère dans cette position exactement au-
dessus de l'arbre principal sur l'extérieur du pneu.
Appuyer sur la touche de menu F1 pour confi rmer.
L'image OPTIMISATION "OP.7" (Fig. 5-43) est alors affi chée.

Si H 1
(Fig. 5-42)
recommandé de continuer l'optimisation, car les valeurs
mesurées ne dépassent pas les limites fi xées pour que
l'optimisation soit recommandée. Il est cependant possible
de continuer l'optimisation pour améliorer les conditions de
marche du véhicule, même au–dessous de la valeur limite
(véhicule critique).
Pour poursuivre l'optimisation:
Poursuivre selon la description pour l'image
OPTIMISATION "OP.7" (Fig. 5-43).
Pour interrompre l'optimisation:
Appuyer sur la touche STOP pour repasser au
programme d'équilibrage et équilibrer la roue suivant
l'ecran.
