Precision Die System

MODEL FABRICATION
1. Assemble Accu-Trac with arms locked and base attached.
2. Reduce height of model, by eliminating excess flange of tray and
impression material.
3. Create three reference marks on the impression tray for lateral
and anterior posterior alignment. Place one reference mark at the
anterior midline and the other two at the center of the posterior
borders.
4. Pour impression. Pour remaining stone in Accu-Trac, level with the
top of locking arms. Invert poured impression and place on
Accu-Trac.
5. Align the 3 reference marks of the impression tray to the midline and
posterior reference marks of Accu-Trac (Fig. 1).
6. Remove excess stone from edge of arms and palatal area prior to
final set.
7. Remove impression from model after stone has set. Remove base
and arms from Accu-Trac.
8. Reverse base into eject position and eject model by carefully
pressing Accu-Trac toward base with uniform pressure to avoid
model breakage (Fig. 2).
9. Trim peripheral edges of model as needed. Avoid trimming die
contact tracks.
10. Saw any remaining stone from palatal or lingual area and section
dies in parallel alignment with tracks.
11. Wash clean, and dry dies carefully.
12. Reassemble dies to Accu-Trac in numerical order and secure
sectioned model by locking arms into position.
ARTICULATION
1. Place articulation Keeper on Accu-Trac magnet.
2. Snap prefabricated green Spacer over Keeper
onto Accu-Trac tray.
3. Cover Keeper and prefabricated Spacer with
plaster. Articulate model conventionally.
4. Remove model from articulator. Peel away
prefabricated Spacer (Fig. 3).
