6. Spray quantities

Note: Always follow the manufacturerʼs instructions
when mixing spray solutions.
Fill the tank only with the amount of solution you
intend to use.
Reference information for plant protection
Soil cultures
Small bushes
Espalier trees and spindle bushes
0.5 - 1.0 liters per tree/bush
Larger shrub trees
Older, free-standing trees

7. Preparing pesticides for use

Pesticides must be used outdoors only and
never in living quarters, stables, or storage
rooms for food and animal feed.
Fill a separate container with pesticide and
thoroughly premix. Now fill the pressure sprayer.
If you intend to use organic spray solutions, they
must be filtered prior to filling the sprayer.

8. Filling

Unscrew the funnel from the bottom of the
pressure sprayer (Fig. 3/Item 10).
Before you screw out the pump, raise the
overpressure valve (Fig. 1/Item 11) and let off any
overpressure that may be in the unit.
Press down the pump/carry handle as far it will go
and slowly unscrew the pump
(counterclockwise).
Screw the funnel onto the tank's filler opening.
Fill the tank up to the 5 liter mark (max.) with the
solution mixed in accordance with the chemical
manufacturer's instructions.
Remove the funnel from the tank.
Insert the pump, press down the pump/carry
handle as far it will go and screw in the pump
(clockwise) until it is tight again. The pump/carry
handle will engage in the bayonet lock. Note: The
bayonet lock must be properly latched whenever
you transport the pressure sprayer. Also, the
spray tube should be in the holder provided for
the purpose (Fig. 1/Item 5).
Screw the funnel back onto the bottom of the
pressure sprayer.

Release the pump/carry handle from the bayonet
lock by pressing it down and gently turning it
counterclockwise.
Pressure is built up in the tank by pumping the
pump/carry handle (up and down).
The tank pressure can be read off the pressure
gauge at any time (Fig. 1/Item 9). The maximum
tank pressure (operating pressure) must not
exceed 3 bar. The overpressure valve (Fig.
1/Item 11) triggers at a positive pressure of
3.2 bar and relieves any pressure exceeding this
amount.
Note: Using a higher pressure increases spray
atomization, however this also increases the
danger of overspray.
Using a lower pressure leads to larger, heavier
droplets, which then more easily drop onto the
ground (causing unnecessary pollution) and
increase the amount of solution required.
Important: Always carry the pressure sprayer
upright.
Press the trigger lever (Fig. 1/Item 7) on the
spray gun handle to spray.
The spray jet will stop immediately if you let go of
the trigger.
You can direct the spray precisely at even hard-
to-reach areas by bending the swan-neck (Fig.
1/Item 3) at the joints.
