Operation
WARNING
Danger of scalding! Do not remove the lid while the water is
boiling. Position the lid in such a way that the steam cannot reach
the handle.
1. Place the appliance on a fl at, level surface.
2. Open the kettle by pressing the button on the handle. Fill the kettle with
water. The water level can be read from the water level indicator on the
outside of the kettle. Please observe the min. And max. Markings.
3. Close the lid by releasing the button on the handle of the kettle.
4. Put the kettle back out of the base station.
5. Turn on the kettle by pressing the on/off switch. The indicator light will turn on.
6. The kettle will turn off automatically after the water has boiled. Unplug the
power cord from the wall outlet. Always keep the lid closed when pouring
water from the kettle.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always turn the unit off and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before
cleaning.
• The outside of the appliance can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth if
necessary.
Descaling
• The frequency of descaling depends on the water hardness and frequency of
use.
• If the unit turns off before the water has boiled, it is very likely that it needs to
be descaled.
• Please do not use vinegar for descaling but commercially available citric
acid based descaling agent. Read the respective instructions for the correct
amount of citric acid.
