• It is recommended that operate the kettle several times following the below instruction and dis-
card off the water before fi rst use. This will remove the material or dust remained in the appliance,
which is caused by the manufacturing process.
• Open the lid automatically by pressing down the Lid Knob and fi ll water into the kettle. Then re-
place the lid otherwise the automatic power cut-off function will not work once the water has been
boiled.
ATTENTION
The fi lled water level must be between the "Max" and "Min" level as indicated on the housing. Too
less water will do damage to the heat element and if the water is overfi lled, boiling water may spill.
• Replace the kettle on the Power Base and connect to power supply. Place the kettle in a way that
the spout of kettle is facing away from you.
• Press the switch to "I" position and the the indicator light will switch on. The water will begin to
heat up. DO NOT open the lid while the water is boiling.
ATTENTION
Ensure that switch is clear of obstructions and the lid is fi rmly closed. The kettle will not turn
off if the switch is constrained or if the lid is left open.
• Power will be cut off automatically and Switch will be back to "0" position once water has been
boiled. And the lamp will be off.
• Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water.
• NOTE: operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle, as boiling water will scald.
• The boiling process can be terminated at any time by lifting the kettle off the Power Base or pres-
sing the Switch to "0" position.
CAUTION
Never operate the appliance empty. In the event of this case occurred, the thermal cut-off
inside the kettle would operate to cut off power automatically. Unplug the appliance and let
it completely cool down. The fi lter must be in place during operation otherwise water may
spill out.
• Remove the plug from wall outlet and let the appliance completely cool down before cleaning.
• Do not immerse power cord, kettle and Power Base in water.
• In order to maintain the polish of the outer surface, do not use abrasive cleaner to wipe the stain-
less steel housing.
