4. To fold up the pole, carefully press the locking
button.
Note: take care not to pinch yourself.
5. Push the pole segment labelled "Pull" back
into the upper pole segment and fold up the
pole.
Adjusting the pole length
(Fig. D)
1. Open the clamping lever on the quick-release
fastener.
2. Pull out the upper end of the pole to the right
length. You can find an indication of the pole
length on the upper pole segment.
3. Then close the clamping lever again.
Important: do not pull out the pole segment
past the "STOP" mark. Otherwise it will not be
possible to guarantee an appropriate level of
stability.
If the tension of the quick-release fastener is no
longer sufficient, tighten the knurled screw on the
side opposite the clamping lever.

correct size:
The length of the product can be adjusted freely
between 110–125cm. Adjust the pole length to

Asphalt pad & plate
Use the asphalt pad on rocky and hard surfaces.
Use the trekking pole plate on soft surfaces to
keep the trekking poles from sinking in.
Attach the asphalt pad to the hollow-ground
tip. Remove it when you do not need it. Screw
the trekking pole plate onto the thread on the
bottom pole segment. Make sure the points of
the plate are pointing downwards. To remove
the plate, unscrew it in the other direction.

Useful tips

• Wear gloves in cold weather.
• For longer hikes, make sure you are carry-
ing enough to fluid (e.g. in a drinks belt or
backpack).
• Wear clothing appropriate to the weather.
Walking on even surfaces
(Fig. I/J)
Set the pole length so that your upper and lower
arms form a 90° angle. Make sure both poles
are adjusted to the same length.
Walking across slopes (Fig. K)
For this, the upper pole must be shortened and
the lower pole must be lengthened so that both
provide support.
Up and downhill (Fig. L/M)
When going uphill, the poles must be shortened
so that they are a comfortable support. When
going downhill, the poles must be lengthened
far enough that you can maintain a comfortable,
upright posture when resting on them.
Warming up and
stretching
Before hiking, you should do extensive warm-up
and stretching exercises.
