LONG PERIOD OF INACTIVITY
When the motorcycle is to be stored for a certain period,
it should be prepared for storage as follows:
- clean the entire motorcycle thoroughly.
- Drain all fuel from the tank.
- Fill the tank with fuel added with a stabiliser
WARNING*:
Never release fuel into the environment
or let the engine run indoors.
- Lubricate the final drive chain and all the cables.
- Spray oil on all unpainted metal surfaces to prevent
rusting. Avoid getting oil on rubber parts or brakes.
- Set the motorcycle on a support or stand so that both
wheels are raised off the ground (if this cannot be
done, put boards under the wheels to keep moisture
away from the tyres).
- Tie a plastic bag over the exhaust pipe to prevent mois-
ture from entering.
- Put a cover over the motorcycle to keep dust and dirt
from collecting on it.

SPECIFICATIONS - OPERATION - MAINTENANCE
To set the motorcycle back ready for use after storage:
- Make sure the spark plug is tight.
- Fill the fuel tank.
- Run the engine to warm the oil up then drain the oil.
- Refill with fresh oil.
- Check all the points listed under the inspection and
Adjustment Section (Appendix A).
- Lubricate all the points listed under the "Lubrication"
Section (Appendix A).

CLEANING
Before washing the motorcycle, it is necessary to duly
protect the following parts:
a) Rear opening of the muffler;
b) Air filter intake;
DO NOT INSIST WITH HIGH-PRESSURE AIR
OR WATER on the ELECTRICAL PARTS, es-
pecially on the electronic control unit (1)
and the dashboard (2).
After washing:
- Lubricate the points listed in the "Maintenance Chart"
(Appendix A).
- Briefly warm up the engine
- Test the brakes before riding the motorcycle.
WARNING*: Never wax or lubricate the
brake discs. Loss of braking efficiency
and an accident could result. Clean the
disc with a solvent such as acetone.
