Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that
it can be recycled.
The battery should be removed prior to disposal of the device and disposed of
separately from the device. To protect the environment, batteries may not be dis-
posed of with the normal household waste, but must be taken to suitable collec-
tion points.
This device is governed by the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electri-
cal and electronic equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of this device as normal
domestic waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via an offi cially
approved waste disposal company.
Disconnecting the Power Adapter from the Wall Bracket
The wall bracket (13) and the power adapter must be disposed of separately.
1. Undo the screw on the back of the wall bracket.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Pull the barrel connector (14) of the power adapter out of the recess and pull the
cable out of the wall bracket.
4. Dispose of the wall bracket in an environmentally friendly manner.
5. Dispose of the power adapter in an environmentally friendly manner via an offi cially
approved waste disposal company.

Removing the Battery

PLEASE NOTE!
■ The motor unit may only be opened for the disposal of the battery.
■ Take care when opening the motor unit, short-circuits must be avoided.
■ Do not open the battery as there is a danger of a short-circuit; irritant vapours or
caustic liquids may also escape.
■ The battery must not be taken apart, thrown into a fi re, immersed in liquids or
short-circuited.
■ Do not expose the battery to strong sunlight, heat or fi re as there is a risk of explosion.
This device contains a rechargeable battery, which must be removed prior to dis-
posal of the used device.
1. Undo the screws on the side of the motor unit.
2. Take apart the side parts.
3. Remove the battery pack from the device.
4. First disconnect the red, then the black connecting cable.
5. Dispose of the rechargeable battery in an environmentally friendly manner via an
offi cially approved waste disposal company.
