The LT-IB.EXE or LTIBWin parameterization software must be available in order
to modify the standard characteristic.
Examples for Typ PSI 6500.000 : refer to Fig. 10: The allocation of the input
voltage to the resulting current can be matched to the timer hardware used for the
purpose of adjustment.

Weld time signal

As soon as the unit detects a positive edge at the weld time input in
Ready state, it will start reading the command value input periodically, if
the command value signal is greater than/equal to 1 V.
Any change at the command value input directly influences the control of
the power unit. In this way it is possible, for example, to specify current
upslope and downslope times.
The power unit will be energized according to the regulation mode selected
until
• the weld time signal is removed (logic 0), or
• the command value at the command value input drops below 1 V
During a fault condition, the unit will not accept any weld time signals, if
• a fault condition is active, or
• the command value signal is lower than 1 V
The occurrence of an error will always let the Ready state disappear, resulting
in a termination of the weld time.
Use either of the following options to acknowledge error conditions once
the error has been corrected:
• the Reset button on the front panel, or
• the .Fault reset. interface input signal if an I/O interface is used.
Refer to Fig. 11 Mode of functioning of the weld time signal

Regulation modes

There are different regulation modes available:
• Heat value (PHA) and
• Constant-current regulation (KSR)Phasenanschnitt (PHA)
8.3.1

Heat value (PHA)

Features:
• There is no closed-loop control of an actual value in the welding circuit.
• The welding heat within the welding circuit is influenced by changing
the pulse width. The pulse width only depends on the command value
present in this case.
• The resulting amount of current in the secondary circuit depends exclusively
on the resistance in the secondary circuit (e.g. transfer resistance
between electrode and part to be welded) and the secondary
