If one of the listed modules is installed, then it will be detected automatically
during initialization of the control. If no such module will be detected, it does not
lead to a fault state. Operation of the control is also possible without I/O board.
Depending of the detected I/O module this are discrete inputs and outputs or a
serial I/O field via Interbus-S. The discrete inputs and outputs of the Interbus
I/O-modules are not used.

The welding controller features the following specifics:
• Control is prepared for a networking with a Profibus-FMS assembly.
• No function „Weld without command"
• External setpoint input for inverter
• The fault: " Stop / No 24V" is self-acknowledging
• The DC link voltage is always checked, the fault message is self-
acknowledging.
• External weld time signal
• Display of Status-codes about the I/O - field
7.1.1

Changing of the operation mode with the I/O field

With the I/O – field, the operation mode of the inverter can be switched between
heat value (PHA) and constant-current regulation (KSR).
A High-Level at the input „Mode selection" means KSR-mode. The operation
mode can also further be set with the corresponding data parameter.
If the corresponding input is "High" or the internal parameter operation mode is
programmed to KSR, then is set KSR-, otherwise the PHA-mode is active. The
selected mode will be shown with the output „mode selection". High-Level means
KSR-mode.
7.1.2

Parameter input and diagnosis

The parameter input and diagnosis are performed via the connected PC.
The PC must be connected to the V24 port on the front side of the unit
(X1).
Conditions for programming and operation at the PC:
• PC with Windows XP for LT-IB Software
• PC with Windows7 or Windows 8 for LTIBWin Software
• Software LT-IB or LTIBWin (Power unit commissioning tool)
• V24 connecting cable
