If one counter exceed the programmed prewarning value, then the output "Tip
dresser warning" will be set.
If the programmed maximal value has been reached, the the output "Tip dresser
at end of life" will be set.
If the maximal value "0" is programmed, then the function is disabled.

A check of pressure control valve at the end of squeeze time is selectable.
7.1.6

Operate force sensor

The serial input „ Operate force sensor" will be mirrored to the output „ Operate
force sensor" at XGM3.

Mirroring of discrete inputs to serial outputs

The following discrete inputs are mirrored to serial outputs:
• E.l.c.b. tripped (linked to serial output Bit_25)
• Motor protection trip, tip dresser (linked to serial output Bit_26)
• Tip dresser supply voltage contactor (linked to serial output Bit_27)
7.1.8

Tip dresser disturbance (input bit 19)

An external monitoring give an input signal to the welding timer, if the tip dresser
not rotate despite control. The timer generate then a warning which has to be
acknowledged.
7.1.9

Proportional valve error messages (inputs bits 80, 86 and 87)

There are three inputs, which can signalize three certain error states at an
external proportional valve:
• Proportional valve pressure outside tolerance band (signal active = inside
tolerance band)
• Proportional valve: error in regulation
• Proportional valve: voltage under 18V
For this signals there is a group signal "external error at proportional valve".
An additional information displays, which problem exist in detail (No. 1, 2 or 3).
The timer generate after that a warning. This warning is self-acknowledging.

7.1.10 Flow protection monitoring

The output „ magnet valve (water flow)" is activated by default (that means 24V),
if the input "Monitoring cooling water flow active" is set to "1".
As soon as the input is not set, then the output „ magnet valve (water flow)" will
be set to 0V.
5 seconds after the input "Monitoring cooling water flow active" is set to 1, the
monitoring of the input "Cooling water flow ok" begins:
If this input is set to 0 for 1 second, then the timer change in error state ("no
cooling water flow") and set the output "Magnet valve (water flow)" to 0V.
If the input "Cooling water flow ok" is set to 0 for 1 second, then while welding the
schedule will be cancelled additional.
