An ISA100 Wireless process interface communicates the gas reading (PV),
measurement status (PV_STATUS), and device status (DIAG_STATUS) to the
controller.
Alarms
The alarms configured in the gas detector are not transmitted via the ISA100
Wireless process interface. Alarms are only output via the red LED. They are
purely informative and are used to locate an alarming gas detector and are not
intended for the derivation of a safety task or action. The alarms are non-
latching. When alarm conditions are resolved, the alarm is no longer displayed.
If alarm logic is used for countermeasures, implement alarm logic in the
controller.

3.2.2 Dräger Polytron Repeater ISA

The Dräger Polytron Repeater ISA is a version of the Dräger Polytron
EC WLwithout measuring function.
3.3 Sensors
The gas detector is intended for use with the DrägerSensor
(electrochemical). Select the sensor according to the target gas to be
measured.

Intended use

3.5.1 Dräger Polytron
The gas detector is used in conjunction with the built-in DrägerSensor
monitoring toxic gases and oxygen.
3.5.2 Dräger Polytron
The repeater is used to relay data from other ISA100 Wireless ™ network
subscribers.
3.6 Approvals
The approvals are shown on the name plate. A copy of the name plate and the
declaration of conformity can be found in the document "Notes on Approval"
® (order no. 93 00 060).
