1.3 Ebene 3 des Servicetestprogrammes
Betriebstundenzähler
Der Betriebsstundenzähler gibt an, wieviele Stunden die Kopfscheibe
rotierte.
1.4 Dauerlaufprüfung
Die Dauerlaufprüfung hilft Fehler zu finden, die sporadisch auftreten.
Ein erkannter Fehler wird im Uhr-RAM (siehe Fehlerstatus / Fehler-
codes, Ebene 1) gespeichert und bleibt auch dann erhalten, wenn das
Gerät vom Netz getrennt wird.
Aufruf der Dauerlaufprüfung
– Cassette einschieben.
– Dauerlaufprüfung im Servicetestprogramm starten mit einer der

Anschließend durchläuft das Gerät die Dauerlaufprüfung entspre-
chend nachfolgendem Schema.
Beenden der Dauerlaufprüfung

1.5 Löschen des RAMs und EEPROMs
Achtung:
Diese Funktion löscht kundenspezifische Daten (z.B. Senderein-
stellungen, ...)!
Beim Anschließen des Gerätes an das Netz gleichzeitig am Gerät die

Dabei werden auf den ersten 5 Programmplätzen für den Frontend-
abgleich (Bilddemodulatorkreis) folgende Kanäle eingestellt:
Programm 1 – Kanal 12
Programm 2 – Kanal 21
Programm 3 – Kanal 68
1.6 EEPROM-Initialisierung des Archivsystemes
Achtung:
Die EEPROM-Initialisierung löscht die kundenspezifischen Archiv-
Daten im angewählten EEPROM! Deshalb darf die Initialisierung des
jeweiligen EEPROMs nur durchgeführt werden, wenn es erneuert
oder der Archivspeicher erweitert wurde.
Aufruf der EEPROM-Initialisierung:
Mit dem Fernbediengeber folgendes ausführen:

Fehleranzeige
Erscheint beim Aufrufen des Archivsystems auf dem Bildschirm des
Fernsehgerätes "EEPROM ERROR" so sind z.B. folgende Ursachen
möglich: EEPROMs defekt, nicht initialisiert, falsch gesteckt oder
erweitertes EEPROM nicht initialisiert

1.3 Level 3 of the Service Test Programme
Operating Hours Meter
The operating hours meter indicates the number of hours the head-
wheel has been rotating.

1.4 Continuous Soak Test
The continuous soak test is used to find out occasionally occuring
faults. The fault is stored in the Timer RAM (see Error Codes and Error
Status, Level 3) and is saved even if the VCR is disconnected from the
mains.
Calling the Continuous Soak Test
– Insert a cassette.
– Start the continuous soak test in the service test programme by
pressing one of the buttons,
The video recorder is then subjected to the continuous soak test as
shown in the diagram below.

1.5 Erasing the RAM and EEPROM
Warning:
This function erases all data entered by the customer (e.g. stations
selected, ...)!

In doing so, the following channels are set on the first 5 programme
positions for frontend adjustment (vision demodulator circuit):
Programme 1 – channel 12
Programme 2 – channel 21
Programme 3 – channel 68
1.6 EEPROM Initialisation of the Archives System
Warning:
An EEPROM initialisation erases all Archives data of the customer
from the selected EEPROM! Therefore, initialising the EEPROM is
allowed only if it has been replaced or the Archives Memory has been
expanded.
Calling up the Service Test Programme:
On the remote control handset:

Initialise the EEPROM1 (IC7040):
– Confirm the figures

– The display shows " EEP 2 – – – – " for a short time
– After initialisation, " EEP 0 – – – – " appears in the display

Fault Indication
Possible causes for the indication "EEPROM ERROR" on the screen
of the TV receiver when calling up the Archives System: e.g. EEPROMs
defective, not initialised, not correctly inserted or expanded EEPROM
not initialised.
