Possible messages in the recorder display
If the display of the recorder shows ...
... CODE ERR
this either indicates incomplete data
entry, or
the ShowView number given in the TV
programme guide is incorrect.
... S V ERR
this indicates that no ShowView code is
assigned to a programme position. Per-
form this setting as described in chapter
2.1.
... DLY ERR
this indicates that you have programmed
a recording for Saturday or Sunday,
which is not possible.

The recorder converts the ShowView
code to actual recording data.

Press the
button to change the
stop time; the broadcast´s current stop
time is shown in the display.

Each press of the
button adds 15
minutes to the current stop time.

If you have programmed a daily or weekly
programme which is always broadcast
at the same time, » E D « (for daily) or
» E W « (for weekly) is shown in the
recorder´s display.

If the sum of all recording times is
greater than the total playing time of the
inserted cassette, the recorder will
record up to the end of the tape.

recorder

automatically
rewinds the cassette all the way to the
beginning and then switches to stop.

the cassette´s playing time was not

The recorder automatically stores » DIVERSE « as the catego-
ry in the archive, as well as the station identification abbrevia-
tion and the start time as title, when the recording starts.
After the recording is completed, you can enter the title of
your choice and assign it to a category; see pages 39 through
42, section "Information on Cassette Contents".
Checking the occupied TIMER positions in the
recorder
The remote control display must be switched off.
z
Press the
button repeatedly until the desired TIMER
data appear in the recorder´s display. Press the
button
OK
to conclude.
Clearing an occupied TIMER position in the
recorder
The remote control display must be switched off.
z
Select the desired TIMER position by pressing the
but-
ton repeatedly until the TIMER data appear in the recorder´s
display.
Press the
button to clear the TIMER position data.

Interrupting the record stand-by mode of the
recorder
If you have programmed TIMER positions but wish to use the
recorder while it is in record stand-by mode, or you want to
terminate the TIMER recording, then:
>
press the
button and the cassette is automatically
press the
(TIMER) button on the remote control.

The TIMER data disappear from the display on the recorder,
the TIMER symbol flashes, and the data are retained.
The record stand-by mode of the recorder is now
interrupted.
Now execute the desired function.
Reactivating the record stand-by mode of the
recorder
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time, wait until the
tape measurement is completed, and then press the
O N/OFF
(TIMER) button.
The cassette number briefly appears in the recorder´s display.
If » CASS N
O
- --- « appears in the display of the recorder
instead of the cassette number, you must enter the number if
you want to archive the cassette.
Enter the cassette number as a three digit number with the

numeric buttons

and confirm with the
but-
OK
ton. The recorder is once again in the record stand-by mode
and the TIMER recordings will be made at the programmed
times.
