– Fix the feeder chute (1) with the hexagonal
socket screws (18), spring washers (19),
washers (20) and buffers (21).
Draining motor oil
Note: The motor oil should be changed
when the motor is warm.

– Allow the motor to run until all of the remaining
fuel has been used up.
– Stop the motor and remove the spark plug con-
nector.
– Unscrew the oil tank lid (12) and remove.
– Place a container under the motor oil drainage
screw (30).
– Use appropriate tools to turn and remove the
motor oil drainage screw (30).
– Allow the motor oil to drain fully.
– Use appropriate tools to replace and tighten the
motor oil drainage screw (30).
– Refill with motor oil before using again.
Cleaning the air filter
CAUTION! Risk of damage to the unit!
The device should never be operated
without an air filter, as this may cause
damage to the motor. If the air filter is
damaged or heavily soiled, it must be
replaced.

– Stop the motor and remove the spark plug con-
nector.
– Undo the locking mechanisms (31) and fold out
the air filter housing (7).
– Remove the filter element (32) and clean using
compressed air.
– Clean the inside of the air filter housing (7).
– Put the filter element (32) back into place and
close the air filter housing (7).
Cleaning/replacing spark plugs
CAUTION! Risk of damage to the unit!
Only use wire brushes with brass bristles
to clean the spark plug. Bristles made
from any other material will damage the
electrode! Only screw the spark plug into
place when the motor is cold. Use the pre-
scribed spark plug type.

– Remove the spark plug connector (33).
– Unscrew the spark plug.
– Check the electrode for discoloration.
Standard colour: Light brown
– Check electrode spacing.
Correct spacing: 0,7 mm to 0.8 mm
Cleaning the spark plug
– Remove rust deposits from the electrode with a
wire brush.
Replacing the spark plug
– Insert the cleaned or new spark plug and tighten
by hand.
– Use a spark plug wrench to tighten the hand-
tightened spark plug lightly. Do not tighten the
spark plug too much as otherwise the thread will
be damaged.
– Affix the spark plug connector (33) firmly back
onto the spark plug.

Storage, transportation

CAUTION! Risk of damage to the unit!
When storing or transporting the unit, it
must be tipped in such a way that the
spark plug is horizontal. Tipping the
device with a spark plug pointing down-
wards may lead to the following faults:
• Smoke coming from the motor.
• Bad starting behaviour.
• Contamination of the spark plug.
• Oil or fuel leaking into the air filter.
Storage
DANGER! Risk of injury! Make sure that
unauthorised persons do not have access
to the device!
– Allow for the device to cool down completely
before storing.
– Store the device in a dry and well ventilated area.
When taken out of operation (30 days or longer)
Remove the fuel from the tank prior to longer periods
of rest.
– Allow the motor to run until all of the fuel has
been used up.
– Drain the motor oil.
– Refill with fresh motor oil.
– Allow the motor to cool down.
– Clean the external surfaces of the motor.
