CAUTION! Risk of damage to the
device!
When carrying out repairs or cleaning the
device, it must be tipped in such a way
that the spark plug is horizontal. Tipping
the device with a spark plug pointing
downwards may lead to the following
faults:
• Smoke coming from the motor.
• Bad starting behaviour.
• Contamination of the spark plug.
• Oil or fuel leaking into the air filter.
Cleaning and maintenance overview
Prior to each use
What
Check the starter cord
for damage to the cord.
Check the level of the
motor oil.
Check the screw con-
nections to ensure that
they sit tight.
Every 25 hours of operation, or every 3 months
What
Clean the air filter.
Every 50 operating hours or every six months
What
Change the motor oil.
Every 100 hours of operation, or every 12 months
What
Check the spark plug
and clean.
Cleaning the device
WARNING! Risk of injury! Clean the cut-
ting tool carefully. Even when the device is
switched off, the cutting tools may still
move.
Careful handling and regular cleaning ensure that the
device stays fully functional and efficient over a long
period of time.
• Remove loose dirt with a brush.
• Wipe the tool with a damp cloth.

the motor oil.

Clean the air filter.

Draining the motor oil.
How
Cleaning/replacing
spark plugs.
• Never spray the device with water or expose to
water.
• Never use cleaning fluids or solvents for clean-
ing.
• Keep ventilation slots clean and free of dust.
Unit maintenance
Changing the blades
WARNING! Risk of injury! Wear protec-
tive gloves when replacing the blade.

WARNING! Risk of injury! After replacing
the blades always remove the tool. Parts
may be thrown out.
WARNING! Risk of injury! Blades can
also be sharpened. This should however
be carried out by a professional as both
blades must have the same weight to
avoid unbalancing. Unbalanced blades
may lead to injuries.
CAUTION! Risk of damage to the
device! Unbalanced blades may lead to
damages.
Note: Due to reasons of quality and safety
it is recommended to only use original
blades for replacement.

– Undo the hexagonal socket screws (18).
– Remove the hexagonal socket screws (18),
spring washers (19), washers (20) and
buffers (21).
– Lift the feeder chute (1) from the lower section of
the unit.

– Turn the blade disc (26) in such a way that one of
the holes (27) is positioned over the ejection
chute (3).
– Slide a suitable tool through the hole (27) and
block the blade disc (26) in this way.

– Loosen the screws (28) of the cutting blade (29).
– Replace the blade (29).
– Tighten the cutting blades (29) back up again
using screws (28).

– Lift the feeder chute (1) onto the lower section of
the unit.
