If you notice any abnormal conditions or malfunctions in the product during the daily
inspection, report it immediately to your supervisor. Also report any abnormal condition

or malfunction that occurs during the daily operation of the product. Remove the product
from use. Using the product may only continue when a safe operation of the product is
ensured.
6.3.1
Checking the hoist before every working shift
Before every working shift, check the general condition of the equipment and the working
environment.
1. Check the operating environment
Check the operating environment visually to make sure that there are no (new) hazards that
can prevent the safe use of the product.
2. Check the condition of the hoist
Check the general condition of the hoist.
3. Perform visual checks
Check the hoist visually to see that there are no oil leaks from the hoist or other equipment.
4. Check the operation of the emergency stop button
Check that the emergency stop button can be pressed down and that it stays in that
position.

Never operate the product if it is locked or tagged out.
5. Check the chain
• Check the chain visually for any deformations, damage, or twisting.
• Check the chain for cleanness and correct lubrication. For lubrication instructions, see
chapter Lubrication.
6. Check the hook
• Inspect the hook for nicks, gouges, and twisting. Check the throat opening of the hook for
deformation. Also inspect the hook for wear on the saddle or load bearing point.
• Check that the hook rotates freely.
7. Check warning signs
Check that all warning signs are in place. Check that the warning signs are in good
condition and can be read easily.
6.3.2
Überprüfen des Betriebs bei gedrücktem Not-Halt-Taster
WARNING! GEFAHR DURCH UNKONTROLLIERTE BEWEGUNGEN
Ist der Not-Halt-Taster defekt, kann sich das Produkt während der nachfolgenden
Prüfungen unerwartet bewegen. Unerwartete Bewegungen während der Prüfungen
können schwere oder tödliche Verletzungen verursachen.
Halten Sie sich nicht im Gefahrenbereich auf.
1. Schalten Sie den Netzanschlussschalter ein.
Das Gerät ist jetzt betriebsbereit (eingeschaltet).
2. Prüfen Sie bei gedrücktem Not-Halt-Taster, ob das Gerät auch dann stillsteht, wenn Sie die
Richtungstasten auf dem Steuergerät betätigen.
Verbleibt das Gerät im Stillstand, so ist sichergestellt, dass der Not-Halt-Taster einwandfrei
funktioniert.
3. Prüfen Sie die störungsfreie mechanische Funktion der einzelnen Drucktaster, Joysticks
oder Isolatoren an der Steuereinheit.
