The Nucleus® Aqua Accessory is a reusable
sealable pouch for keeping your sound processor dry
during use in water (e.g. while swimming). It is worn
behind the ear with the sound processor sealed inside.
The aqua accessory is intended for use by recipients of
all ages, provided they can either remove their sound
processor themselves or indicate any discomfort to their
parent or caregiver.
The aqua accessory is only for use with Nucleus behind-
the-ear sound processors with rechargeable batteries.
Testing shows the aqua accessory can be re-used 20 times,
but this may vary depending on your particular use of it.
The aqua accessory is not recommended for use at depths
exceeding four metres.

Before each use, test the aqua accessory
for leaks by blowing some air in it, sealing it with air inside,
holding it underwater, then looking for air bubbles.

If the aqua accessory leaks, discard it immediately.

Place your sound processor (using
rechargeable batteries) in the aqua accessory,
then carefully seal it.

Wear behind your ear as normal. Using a retention
device (e.g. a lanyard clip) is recommended.

After use, rinse the exterior of the aqua
accessory, then remove your sound processor.
If your sound processor gets wet, dry with a soft cloth.
WARNINGS
If your sound processor becomes unusually warm, remove
it immediately and seek advice from your clinician.
Parents/caregivers: if your recipient indicates discomfort,
check if their sound processor is unusually warm.
The aqua accessory may be a choking hazard.
No modification of this equipment is allowed. Use only as
intended. Report unexpected problems to your clinician.
