6.3 Fitting/removing the splitter (Fig. 5, 6)
Danger! Pull out the power plug.
Remove the saw blade guard (2) (see 6.1).
Remove the fastening screws (19) and remo-
ve the splitter (5).
To assemble, proceed in the reverse order.
The distance between the blade (4) and the
splitter (5) should be 3-8 mm (Fig. 8).
Make sure that the splitter has been fitted
straight and not wobbly.
The splitter (5) must be positioned in the cen-
ter along an imaginary line extending behind
the saw blade (4), so that it is not possible for
the material to get jammed.
6.4 Fitting/changing the saw blade (Fig. 7, 8)
Danger! Pull out the power plug!
Wear work gloves to prevent injury when
changing the saw blade.
Remove the saw blade cover (31) to provide
access to the saw blade (4). To do so, undo
the two recessed head screws (32) and remo-
ve the saw blade cover (31).
Undo the screw (15) by placing the 19/8 mm
ring wrench (29) on the screw (15) and the
10/8 mm ring wrench (30) on the motor shaft
to apply counter-pressure.
Caution! Turn the nut in the direction of rotati-
on of the saw blade.
Take off the outer flange and pull the old saw
blade off the inner flange by dropping the bla-
de at an angle.
Clean the blade flange thoroughly before fit-
ting the new blade.
Mount and fasten the new saw blade in rever-
se order.
Caution! Note the running direction. The cut-
ting angle of the teeth must point in running
direction, i.e. forwards (see the arrow on the
blade guard).
Check to make sure that all safety devices
are properly mounted and in good working
condition before you begin working with the
saw again.
Warning! Every time that you change the saw
blade, check that the saw blade guard (2)
opens and closes again in accordance with
requirements. Also check that the saw blade
(4) spins freely in the saw blade guard (2).
Warning! Every time that you change the saw
blade (4), check to see that it spins freely in
the table insert (6) in both perpendicular and
45° angle settings.
Warning! You should replace the table insert
(6) immediately whenever it is worn or dama-
GB
ged (see 6.2).
Warning! The work to change and align the
saw blade (4) must be carried out correctly.
6.5 Securing on a substructure
The holes (20) in the machine frame can be used
to secure the equipment to a rm, level substruc-
ture such as a workbench. Suitable fastening ma-
terial (screws, etc.) is available from your dealer.
6.6 Sawdust extraction (Fig. 9)
The saw is equipped with an extractor adap-
ter (16) for chips.
Slot the extractor adapter (16) into the ope-
ning provided for the purpose in the saw bla-
de cover (31) at the rear of the machine.
This makes it easy to connect to any extrac-
tor.
Never use the equipment without the suction
function.
Regularly check and clean the suction chan-
nels.
6.7 Putting away loose parts (Fig. 2)
When not in use, the push stick (3), parallel stop
(7) and cross stop (14) can be secured as shown
in Fig. 2. The cross stop (14) can be fastened to
the machine housing with the wing nut (36). The
parallel stop (7) can be placed in the machine
housing.

7. Operation

7.1 Switching on/o (Fig. 1, 13a / Item 11)
The saw can be switched on by pressing the
green „I“ pushbutton.
The red pushbutton „0“ has to be pressed to
switch the saw off again.
7.2 Parallel stop
The parallel stop (7) has to be used when making
longitudinal cuts in wooden workpieces.
7.2.1 Stop height (Fig. 2a, 10, 11)
Fit the parallel stop (7) to the saw table (1)
using the clamping plate (26), washers (27)
and locking screws (12): On the outside on
the saw table: locking screw (12) and washer
(27). On the inside of the table: clamping pla-
te (26).
The parallel stop (7) supplied with the bench-
type circular saw has two different guide
faces.
Use the lower stop height for thin workpieces
