Near side (left side as you sit on the motorcycle)
•
Remove the two bolts arrowed in picture 10.
•
Place two of the M8 washers (item 4) onto the two shorter M8 cap head bolts
(item 7) then through the upper mounting bracket of the left-hand side
adventure bar (item 8) as shown in picture 11.
•
Place the two shorter spacers (item 6) onto the exposed threads as shown in
picture 11.
•
Offer this assembly into position as shown in the top picture and engage the top
two bolts (do not tighten at this stage and ensure the adventure bar does not
contact any other part of the motorcycle).
•
Place one of the M10 washers (item 11) and one of the nyloc nuts (item 10)
onto the exposed thread as shown in picture 12 (please ensure the nut is full
engaged, it can't be tightened at this stage).
Off side (right side as you sit on the motorcycle)
•
Remove the two bolts arrowed in picture 13.
•
Place the two remaining M8 washers (item 4) onto the two longer M8 cap head
bolts (item 2) then through the upper mounting bracket of the right-hand side
adventure bar (item 1) as shown in picture 14.
•
Place the two remaining longer spacers (item 5) onto the exposed threads as
shown in picture 14.
•
Offer this assembly into position as shown in the top picture and engage the top
two bolts (do not tighten at this stage and ensure the adventure bar does not
contact any other part of the motorcycle).
•
Place the remaining M10 washer (item 11) and the remaining nyloc nuts (item
10) onto the exposed thread as shown in picture 15 (please ensure the nut is
full engaged).
•
Tighten the lower mounting nuts so equal amounts protrude from either side.
•
Tighten all four top bolts and fit the relevant covers (items 3 and 9) as shown in
pictures 16, 17 and 18.
•
Refit the sump guard as original.
