Replacement of coarse filters GF2 and GF3
1. Detach the coarse filter (pos. 1) together with the
angular hose fittings (pos. 2) from the upper and
lower connection piece.
2. Detach both angular hose fittings from the coarse
filter by twisting gently and attach them to the new
coarse filter.
3. Attach the new coarse filter with angular hose
fittings to the connection pieces (installation
position as indicated on BEA 060).

Affix the sticker 1 689 980 296 to each new coarse
filter GF3. The applicable date and the signature of
the person performing the work must be marked on
the stickers. The date provides a reference for the
replacement interval and the signature confirms
authorized coarse filter replacement. Use a non
water-soluble felt-tip pen for labeling the sticker.

Checking display stability
Detach the hose at the exhaust gas measurement
inlet of the BEA 060.

There must not be any engine exhaust gases,
gasoline or cleaning agent vapors in the
atmosphere in the vicinity of the BEA 060.
Select "Diagnosis >> Engine/gas values" in the
Bosch Emissions Analysis. The current gas values
are displayed following zero calibration and the HC
residue test.
Observe the display for approx. 2 minutes with regard
to limit values and stability.
