2. Consignes de sécurité

gereuse.
• Remplacer impérativement l'appareil dès la première défaillance !
• Conservez impérativement ce manuel d'utilisation.
2.1 Instructions d'installation
• Les interventions d'installation, d'utilisation et de maintenance sont réservées aux spécialistes qualifiés
Electrotechnique. Respecter les instructions d'installation mentionnées. Lors de la mise en place et de l'uti-
lisation, respecter les dispositions et normes de sécurité en vigueur, les normes de sécurité nationales et
les règles générales relatives à la technique. Les caractéristiques techniques de sécurité se trouvent dans
ce document et dans les certificats (et autres homologations, le cas échéant).
• L'ouverture ou la transformation de l'appareil ne sont pas admissibles. Ne procédez à aucune réparation sur
l'appareil, mais remplacez-le par un appareil équivalent. Seul le fabricant est autorisé à effectuer des répa-
rations sur l'appareil. Le fabricant n'est pas responsable des dommages résultant d'infractions à cette règle.
• L'indice de protection IP20 (CEI 60529/EN 60529) de l'appareil est valable dans un environnement propre
et sec. Ne pas soumettre l'appareil à des sollicitations mécaniques et/ou thermiques dépassant les limites
décrites.
• L'appareil est conforme répond aux règlements relatifs aux parasites (CEM) destinés au domaine industriel
(catégorie de protection A). L'utilisation dans une zone d'habitation peut créer des parasites.
• Seuls les appareils Phoenix Contact spécifiés doivent être raccordés à l'interface à 12 pôles S-PORT - voir
à ce sujet la fiche technique correspondante.
• L'appareil n'est pas conçu pour être utilisé dans des atmosphères sujettes à des coups de poussière. Dans
les environnements poussiéreux, l'appareil doit être installé dans un boîtier adapté et homologué (indice de
protection minimum IP54) conforme aux exigences de la norme EN 60079-31, qui tient compte de la tem-
pérature de surface de celui-ci.
2.2 Installation en zone 2
• Respecter les conditions définies pour une utilisation en atmosphère explosible. Lors de l'installation, utili-
ser un boîtier adapté et homologué d'indice de protection minimum IP54 qui répond aux exigences de la
norme CEI/EN 60079-15. Respecter également les exigences de la norme CEI/EN 60079-14.
• Seuls les appareils destinés à être utilisés dans la zone Ex 2 et conçus pour être utilisés conformément aux
conditions présentes du lieu d'utilisation peuvent être raccordés à des circuits de la zone 2.
• Le raccordement et la déconnexion de câbles, ainsi que le réglage des sélecteurs de codage (DIP) en
zone 2 sont autorisés uniquement lorsque l'appareil est hors tension.
• L'appareil doit être mis hors service et retiré immédiatement de la zone Ex s'il est endommagé ou s'il a été
soumis à des charges ou stocké de façon non conforme, ou s'il présente un dysfonctionnement.
• Les perturbations temporaires (transitoires) ne doivent pas dépasser 497 V (355 V x 1,4).
2.3 Remarques UL

1 Convient uniquement aux utilisations en atmosphères explosibles de classe I, Division 2, groupes A, B,
C et D, ou en atmosphères non explosibles.

3. Utilisation conforme
Le convertisseur de température programmable est conçu pour le fonctionnement de détecteurs de tempéra-
ture (RTD et thermocouples), de télétransmetteurs de résistance, ainsi que de potentiomètres. Les valeurs me-
surées sont transformées en un signal linéaire de courant.
Le convertisseur de température est configuré, au choix, soit de manière standard, soit en fonction de la com-
mande, selon le code de commande, il est d'autre part fourni étalonné pour être prêt à l'emploi. La configuration
ainsi réalisée est indiquée sur l'étiquette auto-collante présente sur le côté du convertisseur.

2. Safety notes
• Please observe the safety regulations of electrical engineering and industrial safety and liability associa-
tions!
• Disregarding these safety regulations may result in death, serious personal injury or damage to equipment.
• The device must be operated in a closed control cabinet!
• Before working on the device, disconnect the power.
• During operation, parts of electrical switching devices carry hazardous voltages.
• In the event of an error, replace the device immediately!
• Keep the operating instructions in a safe place!
2.1 Installation notes
• Installation, operation, and maintenance may only be carried out by qualified electricians. Follow the instal-
lation instructions as described. When installing and operating the device, the applicable regulations and
safety directives (including national safety directives), as well as general regulations applicable to the tech-
nology, must be observed. The safety data can be found in this document and in the certificates (and further
approvals, where applicable).
• The device must not be opened or modified. Do not repair the device yourself, replace it with an equivalent
device. Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not liable for damage re-
sulting from violation.
• The IP20 protection (IEC 60529/EN 60529) of the device is intended for use in a clean and dry environment.
The device must not be subject to mechanical strain and/or thermal loads, which exceed the limits de-
scribed.
• The device complies with the EMC regulations for industrial areas (EMC class A). When using the device in
residential areas, it may cause radio interference.
• Only specified devices from Phoenix Contact may be connected to the 12-pos. S-PORT interface - see the
corresponding data sheet.
• The device is not designed for use in potentially dust-explosive atmospheres. If dust is present, installation
must take place in a suitable and approved housing (at least IP54) that meets the requirements of EN
60079-31. The specified surface temperature of the housing must be observed.
2.2 Installation in Zone 2
• Observe the specified conditions for use in potentially explosive areas! Install the device in a suitable, ap-
proved housing that meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60079-15 and has at least IP54 protection. Also ob-
serve the requirements of IEC/EN 60079-14.
• Only devices which are designed for operation in Ex zone 2 and are suitable for the conditions at the instal-
lation location may be connected to the circuits in the Ex zone.
• In zone 2 only connect or disconnect cables and adjust the DIP switch when the power is disconnected.
• The device must be stopped and immediately removed from the Ex area if it is damaged, was subject to an
impermissible load, stored incorrectly or if it malfunctions.
• Temporary malfunctions (transients) must not exceed the value of 497 V (355 V x 1.4).

3. Intended Use
The programmable temperature transducer is designed for operating temperature sensors (RTD and thermo-
couples), resistance-type sensors, and potentiometers. The measured values are converted into a current sig-
nal.
The temperature transducer is optionally configured with the default configuration or order-specific according
to the order key and is delivered calibrated and ready for operation. The set configuration is printed on the label
on the side of the housing.

• Während des Betriebs stehen Teile der elektrischen Schaltgeräte unter gefährlicher Spannung.
• Wechseln Sie das Gerät nach dem ersten Fehler unbedingt aus!
• Bewahren Sie die Betriebsanleitung auf!
2.1 Errichtungshinweise
• Die Installation, Bedienung und Wartung ist von elektrotechnisch qualifiziertem Fachpersonal durchzufüh-
ren. Befolgen Sie die beschriebenen Installationsanweisungen. Halten Sie die für das Errichten und Betrei-
ben geltenden Bestimmungen und Sicherheitsvorschriften (auch nationale Sicherheitsvorschriften) sowie
die allgemeinen Regeln der Technik ein. Die sicherheitstechnischen Daten sind diesem Dokument und den
Zertifikaten (ggf. weitere Approbationen) zu entnehmen.
• Öffnen oder Verändern des Geräts ist nicht zulässig. Reparieren Sie das Gerät nicht selbst, sondern erset-
zen Sie es durch ein gleichwertiges Gerät. Reparaturen dürfen nur vom Hersteller vorgenommen werden.
Der Hersteller haftet nicht für Schäden aus Zuwiderhandlung.
• Die Schutzart IP20 (IEC 60529/EN 60529) des Geräts ist für eine saubere und trockene Umgebung vorge-
sehen. Setzen Sie das Gerät keiner mechanischen und/oder thermischen Beanspruchung aus, die die be-
schriebenen Grenzen überschreitet.
• Das Gerät erfüllt die Funkschutzbestimmungen (EMV) für den industriellen Bereich (Funkschutzklasse A).
Beim Einsatz im Wohnbereich kann es Funkstörungen verursachen.
• An die 12-polige S-PORT-Schnittstelle dürfen nur Geräte von Phoenix Contact angeschlossen werden, die
hierfür spezifiziert sind - siehe zugehöriges Datenblatt.
• Das Gerät ist nicht für den Einsatz in staubexplosionsgefährdeten Atmosphären ausgelegt. Die Installation
bei Anwesenheit von Stäuben muss in einem geeigneten, zugelassenen Gehäuse erfolgen (Mindest-
schutzart IP54), das die Anforderungen der EN 60079-31 erfüllt, wobei die Oberflächentemperatur des Ge-
häuses beachtet werden muss.
2.2 Installation in der Zone 2
• Halten Sie die festgelegten Bedingungen für den Einsatz in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen ein! Setzen
Sie bei der Installation ein geeignetes, zugelassenes Gehäuse der Mindestschutzart IP54 ein, das die An-
forderungen der IEC/EN 60079-15 erfüllt. Beachten Sie auch die Anforderungen der IEC/EN 60079-14.
• An Stromkreise in der Zone 2 dürfen nur Geräte angeschlossen werden, welche für den Betrieb in der Ex-
Zone 2 und die am Einsatzort vorliegenden Bedingungen geeignet sind.
• Das Anschließen oder Trennen von Leitungen und das Einstellen der DIP-Schalter ist in der Zone 2 nur im
spannungslosen Zustand zulässig.
• Das Gerät ist außer Betrieb zu nehmen und unverzüglich aus dem Ex-Bereich zu entfernen, wenn es be-
schädigt ist, unsachgemäß belastet oder gelagert wurde bzw. Fehlfunktionen aufweist.
• Vorübergehende Störungen (Transienten) dürfen den Wert von 497 V (355 V x 1,4) nicht überschreiten.
2.4 Sicherheitsgerichtete Anwendungen (SIL, PL)
Beachten Sie bei Einsatz des Gerätes in sicherheitsgerichteten Anwendungen die Anweisungen im Da-
tenblatt unter phoenixcontact.net/products.
3. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Der programmierbare Temperaturmessumformer ist für den Betrieb von Temperatursensoren (RTD und Ther-
moelemente), Widerstandsferngebern sowie Potenziometern ausgelegt. Die Messwerte werden in ein lineares
Stromsignal umgeformt.
Wahlweise wird der Temperaturmessumformer in einer Standardkonfiguration oder auftragsgebunden nach
einem Bestellschlüssel konfiguriert und betriebsbereit abgeglichen ausgeliefert. Die dabei eingestellte Konfi-
guration finden Sie auf dem Seitenetikett aufgeklebt.
