5. OPERATION AND FIRST USE

5.1. Device properties

The radio comprises a DAB+/FM receiver
with the following functions:
- You can store 10 DAB+ and 10 FM stations.
- The radio receives signals on the frequencies FM 87.5-108
MHz (analogue) and DAB+ 174.9-239.2 MHz (digital).
- The device has a time and date display.
- Optional operation with 4 type AA batteries.(not included)

5.2. Prepare the device for use

5.2.1. Optional: insert batteries

> Open the battery compartment on the back of the device by
pressing the latch and removing the lid.
> Insert 4 type AA 1.5V batteries, while paying attention
to the direction indicated.
> Replace the battery compartment lid on and close it properly
you hear it lock into place.
Make sure to replace drained batteries in time.
Battery packs cannot be charged in the radio.

5.2.2. Connect the power unit

Only use the original power unit included in delivery.
Plug one end into the socket labelled DC-IN (11) on the back of the
DABMAN 14.
Then connect the power supply unit to the mains supply.
