WARNING: When inspection and operational testing reveals defects in or
damage to equipment, inadequate maintenance of equipment, or evidence of
equipment having been exposed to fall arrest forces or loading, the equipment
shall be immediately removed from service and submitted to a new inspection
by competent person or authorized repair center.
INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS
The periodic inspections must be conducted by a competent person (other than
the user) according to the following schedule. (*See note in 7.2 Maintenance).

7-2 MAINTENANCE
Basic care of all fall protection equipment will prolong its service life and will
contribute toward the performance of its vital safety function.
SERVICING
With the exception of the field replaceable lifeline made by a competent person,
servicing of Miller self-retracting lifelines must only be carried out by Honeywell
Safety Products or persons or entities authorized in writing by Honeywell. A record
log of all servicing and inspection dates for this device must be maintained (see
appendix – inspection sheet). Complete the inspection grid label with the next due
date (year/month), according required frequency but not more than 1 year. Only
original Miller replacement parts are approved for use in this device. Contact your

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Periodically clean the exterior of the device and wipe the lifeline using a damp
cloth and mild detergent.
When not in use, equipment shall be stored in a manner as to preclude damage
from environmental factors, such as temperature, light, UV, excessive moisture,
oil, chemicals and their vapors, or other degrading elements. The lifeline should
