VII. Turning off the engine
- putting out of operation
•
ATTENTION
y In the event of an emergency (dangerous) situa-
tion, immediately turn off the engine by setting
the engine shut off button (fig. 3, position 3) to
the "OFF" position. Otherwise, proceed as follows:
1. Using the throttle lever (fig. 3, position 6), set the
minimum engine speed by setting the lever to the
"turtle" position.
2. Turn off the engine by setting the engine shut off
button (fig. 3, position 3) to the "OFF" position.
3. Close the petrol supply to the carburettor by turning
valve (fig. 3, position 2) to the "OFF" position.

ATTENTION
y Closing the fuel supply to the carburettor is necessary,
otherwise petrol could pass through the petrol lines to
the engine's cylinders, namely when transporting or
handling the engine, and then it would be necessary to
have the engine's cylinders cleaned out at an authori-
zed service centre for the HERON® brand.

VIII. Care and maintenance
•
ATTENTION
y Prior to performing maintenance and servicing tasks,
allow the engine and its components to cool down. After
operation, they are very hot and could cause burns.
1. Before commencing maintenance tasks, turn
off the engine and position it (the powered
equipment) on a rigid horizontal surface.
2. Allow the engine to cool down before perfor-
ming maintenance tasks.
For safety reasons, only original parts may be used.

ATTENTION
y Not adhering to the servicing tasks in the maintenance
intervals provided in table 2 may lead to a malfunction
or damage of the engine, which is not covered by the
free warranty repair.
