REFILLING MOTOR OIL

WARNING
y When handing oil, use suitable protective gloves
because oil is absorbed through the skin and is dama-
ging to health.
•
ATTENTION
y In the event that there is no oil in the engine's oil pan, it
will not be possible to start the engine as a result of the
oil sensor preventing it as protection of the engine.
y The engine is supplied without oil in the engine's oil
pan. Prior to putting the engine into operation, class
SAE 15W40 motor oil intended for petrol (spark igniti-
on) engines must be poured into the engine's oil pan.
1. Position the engine on a stable, solid, horizontal sur-
face. The oil must only be refilled when the engine is
in a horizontal position, otherwise when filled on an
inclined surface the oil level in the oil pan will not be
correctly indicated.
2. Screw out the oil pan cap (fig.3 position 11 or fig. 4)
and using an appropriate funnel, pour in class SAE
15W40 motor oil intended for petrol (spark ignition)
engines into the engine's oil pan so that the dipstick
on the cap when fully screwed in is fully submerged
in the oil, see fig. 5. Check the oil level on the dipstick
after screwing it out of the tank, where in order to
achieve an accurate oil level reading it is necessary
that cap is fully screwed into the thread.

 U se quality motor oils intended for lubricating
four-stroke air-cooled petrol engines, e.g. Shell
Helix HX5 15 W-40, Castrol GTX 15 W40 or their
equivalents, with an SAE 15W40 viscosity class. Oils
with a SAE 15W40 viscosity class ensure good lubri-
cation properties at the temperatures in our climatic
conditions. Only quality motor oil may be used in the
engine. Using different types of oils, e.g. vegetable
oils, etc., is impermissible from the standpoint of
inappropriate lubricating properties, otherwise
engine damage shall result.

y When using the engine in a different temperature
range than that corresponding to the SAE 15W40 vis-
cosity class, it is necessary to select an oil with a corre-
sponding viscosity class as per the graph below. Only
use the engine in the prescribed temperature range of
-20 ° to +45 °C.
