y Always check the oil level in the engine's oil pan
prior to starting the engine. The presence of
a monitoring oil sensor does not authorise the
operator to omit the oil level check.
 O nly perform the oil level check when the engine
is level and after the engine has been off for an
extended period of time (at least 15 minutes). If you
perform the oil level check too soon after turning off
the engine, not all the oil will have flowed down the
walls of the oil pan and the oil level reading will not
be reliable.

ATTENTION
y Running the engines with an insufficient or excessive
amount of oil results in damage to the engine.
 N ever use oils intended for two-stroke engines
in the engine!
 W hen the oil level is low, fill up the oil volume using
oil from the same manufacturer and of the same SAE
class as is already contained in the engine.

CHECKING THE AIR FILTER FOR
CLOGGING AND ITS CONDITION
 A lways check the condition and cleanness
of the air filter before starting the engine
because a clogged air filter prevents air from
flowing to the carburettor, which results in
incomplete combustion of fuel in the engine
and lower engine power and increased carbo-
nisation and clogging of the spark plug.
ATTENTION
 Never run the engine without an air filter or with
a clogged/dirty air filter. It is not possible to exercise
the right to a free warranty repair on faults resulting
from running the engine with a clogged or missing
air filter.
