I. Description and purpose of use
Professional horizontal engine HERON® 8896670 with max. power of 4.0 kW (5.5 HP) and HERON® engi-
ne 8896770 with max. power 9.5 kW (13 HP) is intended for installation into vibration plate compactors, com-
pacting rollers, vibration rammers, concrete cutters, water pumps, tracked transporters, etc. as their power drive.
The engines have a standard horizontal "S" type shaft with ∅ 20 mm (HERON® 8896670) and ∅ 25 mm
(HERON® 8896770), with the configuration and other dimensions specified in the drawing for both the engines,
see fig. 1 and fig. 2. The shaft is cylindrical without an external thread, only with a lug, in the centre of the shaft
there is a thread M8 ×1.25.
The engines are not intended to be installed into electricity generator sets due to their different shaft.
The engines are intended to be installed only into non-road mobile equipment.
PARTS AND CONTROL ELEMENTS OF THE ENGINE:
 S tarted using a pull starter.
 P ower (rpm) adjusted using a lever.
 E ngine has its own shut-off button.

 T he engine is equipped with an electronic system
for monitoring the level of oil in the oil pan,
which shuts off the engine in the event of a low
oil level (it is not an indicator light).
