4. Adjusting The Electrodes

The ignition electrodes must be set up
according to the following details.

5. Decalcification
If there is scaling in the pipelines, the flow
resistance increases and the pressure switch
could be activated.
!
Danger!
Danger of explosion due to inflammable gases.
Smoking is forbidden during decalcification.
Ensure proper ventilation.
Caution!
Danger of chemical burns from acids.
Wear protective goggles and gloves.
Procedure
Legal requirements prescribe that only officially
tested and certified boiler scale solvents are
employed:
RM 100 6.287-008:
dissolves limestone, and simple compounds of
limestone and residual detergent.

RM 101 6.287-013:
dissolves those deposits that can not be
removed with RM 100.
Fill a 20-litre container with 15 litres of water.
Add 1 litre of boiler scale solvent.
Connect water hose directly to the suction
side of pump, and place the other end of
hose into the 20-litre container.
Place end of connected spray lance
(without nozzle) into the container.
Open hand gun, and keep open for full
duration of decalcification process.
Turn main switch to "Burner ON" position,
and set to approx. 40 °C.
Switch unit off, and leave to stand for
20 minutes. Hand gun must remain opened.
Pump unit dry.
We recommend that an alkaline solution
(e.g. RM 81) is subsequently pumped
through the unit via the detergent container,
to provide protection against corrosion and
to neutralise any residual acid.

6. Sub-zero Temperature Protection

The unit should be installed in an environment
that is protected from sub-zero temperatures.
If there is danger from frost, e.g. installations
out-of-doors, the unit must be drained, and
flushed through with a glycol-based anti-freeze
solution.
Anti-freeze treatment
If the unit is not to be used for a longer period of
time, we recommend that it is flushed through
with a glycol-based anti-freeze solution, as this
simultaneously provides a degree of protection
against corrosion. A 50 % anti-freeze solution
should be pumped through the unit.
