7.4 Daily and periodic inspection

Interval
Daily
Measuring the operating current:
- To be within the rated current
Measuring the power voltage variation:
Continuous running duty = within ± 5% of the rated voltage
Intermittent periodic duty = within ± 10% of the rated voltage
Monthly
Measuring the insulation resistance:
Insulation resistance reference value = 20 MΩ minimum
NOTE: The motor must be inspected if the insulation resistance is considerably lower than the last inspection.
Half-yearly
Inspection of lifting chain or rope:
- Replace if damage, corrosion, or wear has occurred to the chain or rope.
- Remove if foreign object is attaching to it.

Yearly
Inspecting cables, oil, mechanical seals, bearings, wearing
parts (impeller, suction flange....).
NOTE: rubber parts need to be replaced if disassembled
during inspection
Once every 2 ye-
Changing oil
ars or 9000 hours
for heavy duty
Changing the mechanical seals
Once every 2 to 5
Overhaul:
years
The pump must be overhauled even if the pump appears normal during operation.
Especially, the pump may need to be overhauled earlier if it is used continuously.

7.5 Changing the mechanical seal sump oil

Unscrew the plug slowly, covering it with a rag of suitable size.
Read the safety warnings provided in the relative manual carefully, and comply with them at all times.

1. Position the pump on a firm, even surface;Use a suitable
lifting system of appropriate size.
Secure it to prevent it from rolling or rocking.
2. Identify the plug of the pump's oil sump.

STANDARD version
The oil sump may become pressured in the event of a leak from the mechanical seal.
Do not dump spent oil in the environment, but consign it to a specialist disposal centre.
-EX version
Inspecting cables, oil, mechanical seals, bearings,
wearing parts (impeller, suction flange....).
NOTE: rubber parts need to be replaced if disassembled
during inspection

3. Unscrew the plug on the top of the oil sump.
