Donning the full face mask
NOTICE
The sealing surface between head and full face mask must be free
of hair and foreign objects as these could cause leakages.
Spectacle wearers should wear mask spectacles.
Install mask spectacles, if necessary

Loosen the head harness as far as possible.

NOTICE
At extremely low temperatures, the wearer should hold his breath
briefly when donning the face mask. This prevents the full face
mask from fogging up.
Release the full face mask from the standby position.

Pull the harness apart, then

put your chin into the chin cup.
Pull the head harness over

your head and draw it
backwards.
Adjust the full face mask.

Pull the straps until evenly

tightened; first the neck
straps, then the temple straps,
finally the front strap.
Checking for tight fit
NOTICE
If pad particle filters are used, only perform the overpressure test,
since the pad cap does not seal the gas filter or pad plate airtight.
Negative pressure test
Seal both respiratory filters

with your hands or an aid (e.g.
a nearly flat piece of
cardboard) and breathe in
until a negative pressure is
generated. Hold your breath
for a moment.
The negative pressure should
be maintained. If not,
retighten the harness.
Overpressure test
Seal the exhalation valve of

the full face mask and breathe
out forcefully. The full face
mask must not lift off your
face. If breathing air escapes
through the sealing frame,
retighten the harness.
Make sure that the full face mask is perfectly tight and the
respiratory filters are fitted before entering the contaminated area.
If the suitability of the mask for use is impaired by application-
specific influences, leave the danger zone immediately.
During use
Extreme operating conditions
At low temperatures: Protect the inside of the visor against fogging
with "klar-pilot" gel.
At high temperatures: Leave the danger zone immediately if there
are any signs of damage to the visor.
In hazardous areas: Treat full face mask incl. respiratory filter with
antistatic spray.

WARNING
After use
Remove and dispose of both respiratory filters.

Remove the full face mask:

Put your index fingers behind
the flaps of the neck straps,
push the adjusting clamps
forward with your thumbs and
pull the full face mask away
from your face and over your
head at the same time. Do not
pull the facepiece.

1) For full face masks in air-tight packaging, otherwise every 6 months.
2) For full face masks in air-tight packaging: every 2 years.
Cleaning and disinfection
Clean and disinfect the full face mask after every use.
Do not use solvents (e.g. acetone, alcohol) or cleaning agents
containing abrasive particles for cleaning and disinfection. Use only
the described procedures and the specified cleaning agents and
disinfectants. Other agents, doses and contact times may cause
damage to the product.

disinfectants and their specifications, refer to document
9100081 at www.draeger.com/IFU.
Prepare a cleaning solution consisting of water and a cleaning

agent.
Clean all parts using a soft cloth with cleaning solution.

Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water.

Prepare a disinfectant bath consisting of water and a disinfectant.

Put all parts to be disinfected in the disinfectant bath.

Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water.

Dry all parts in the air or in a drying cabinet (temperature:

max. 60 °C). Do not expose to direct sunlight.
The facepiece is also suitable for mechanical cleaning and
disinfection. Further information can be obtained from Dräger.
